Say hello to "Schatzi"
So this is more of a quick note than a complete thought, but before any more of the month passed, I wanted to let you know that I completed and released a collection of poetry, which you can buy and read at your leisure.

Hello! I’m writing to you while also virtually attending an all-day conference about EMS providers, the heart, and stroke patients. So this is more of a quick note than a complete thought, but before any more of the month passed, I wanted to let you know that I completed and released a collection of poetry, which you can buy and read at your leisure.
I haven’t found a good solution for selling the physical zine (which is, in my opinion, a delightful tangible object) online—if you’re in Portland, you can pick a copy up in person at Floating World, Zuckercreme (for the rest of February), or Indent Magazine. If you lack the taste or ability to be my neighbor, Venmo $12 to @Courtney-Stanton and put your name and shipping address in the note and I will mail a zine and probably a couple of random stickers off to you. For the hot minute I had these up on Gumroad (before the owner of Gumroad imploded on Twitter the other week—if you don’t know what I’m talking about, don’t bother looking!) I was only shipping to the US because I am wholly ignorant of US-elsewhere shipping rates, but if you’re outside the US and you want a zine, I will send you one (I just want to make sure nobody takes a complete bath on postage)!
Ok back to accumulating the last of the continuing education credits needed to renew my EMT certification. I’m also in the middle of participating in a month-long self-given project where I write a poem every day; I did a version of this by myself in the fall, which ended up generating the core of what became the poetry collection “Schatzi” (linked multiple times above…I would like it a lot if you checked it out!). Doing it again with other writers and a little more structure, and with an intentional topic focus for the writing, has been more, ah, intense, which is what I intended, and I feel like I’m on track to have another collection out in the middle of spring, probably sometime in April. After years (and years, and years) of being extremely jammed up with my writing process, it’s extraordinary to be this productive and to feel this clear about my work and have real focus…I don’t want to say “back”, because it’s not like it was before. I’m at a new place in my relationship with my work, and it feels very different (to me, anyway).
